Past simple (non-action 2)

Untuk fakta masa lampau, past simple tense juga bisa digunakan untuk menjelaskan:
- ciri seseorang/sesuatu,
- sifat seseorang/sesuatu,
- kondisi seseorang/sesuatu.
 
Kalimat Positif:
  • I + was + adjective
  • /You/We/They + were + adjective
  • He/She/It + was + adjective
 
Kalimat Negatif:
  • I + was not (wasn’t) + adjective
  • /You/We/They + were not (weren’t) + adjective
  • He/She/It + was not (wasn’t) + adjective
 
Kalimat Tanya:
  • Was + I + adjective?
  • Were + you/we/they + adjective?
  • Was + he/she/it + adjective?

= Aku sedih. (Sedihnya di satu titik di masa lampau. Sekarang tidak lagi)
You were amazing.
= Kamu keren. (Bisa untuk mengomentari pertunjukan yang bagus yang sudah lewat)
 
We were angry.
= Kami marah. (Di masa lampau)
 
They were excited.
= Mereka antusias. (Di masa lampau)
 
He was sick.
= Dia sakit. (Di masa lampau)
She was confused.
= Dia bingung. (Di masa lampau)
 
I love the food back then. It was cheap.
= Aku suka makanannya waktu itu Harganya murah

= Aku ngga bahagia.
You weren’t helpful.
= Kamu ngga membantu.
 
We weren’t angry.
= Kami ngga marah.
 
I hate those exams. They weren’t easy.
= Aku benci ujian-ujian itu. Mereka ngga mudah.

He wasn’t famous.
= Dia ngga terkenal.
She wasn’t interested.
= Dia ngga tertarik.
 
I hated that concert. It wasn’t great.
= Aku ngga suka konser itu. Ngga bagus.
